2019-10-16 Occombe/Scadson Woods – led by Chris

Chris writes:-
Twelve of us met at Occombe Farm on a nice sunny morning. Fortunately the predicted rain didn’t materialise and we had a dry and not too muddy walk. We walked through Occombe Woods and then through Scadson Woods and over the hill into Cockington Country Park.
We continued uphill through the orchard, still laden with apples, and then through the fields, keeping a wary eye on the cows. We continued through the Stantor Barton farmyard where we saw in the barn a newborn calf with its mother ahh!
We eventually arrived back at the car park and drove to Ye Old Smokey House where we enjoyed an excellent lunch.

Three superb sets of photos for this walk from Wendy and Norma – don’t miss any of them!
