7th Feb 2018 Paignton

This walk was led by Norma,  our “Official Photographer”. Norma writes:-
Today 12 of us, suitably clad, met at Paignton harbour. Temp : 2 degrees, a cold wind but fabulous clear blue sky!
We walked along the promenade to Preston where we were entertained by delightful Turnstone birds..
Winding our way through the old Gasworks park, admiring mimosa trees, then up the steep path to Mead Road. A quick look in the Barnardos charity shop, down Old Paignton Rd. ..across Preston Down Rd winding down into the back of Oldway House.  Through the gardens past the pond and over to Courtland Rd and through Victoria Park. Then pass station, library and along the railway path into Young’s Park. We enjoyed an excellent 2-4-1 lunch at The Inn on the Quay and afterwards walked up the zig-zag path onto Roundham Head and back to parked cars.
