10th January 2018 River Exe

This walk was again led by Chris & Malcolm.
Chris writes:-
Twelve walkers started off from The Tally Ho Inn, in glorious sunny weather.   Due to heavy rain the night before there were quite a few puddles to negotiate, the view of Countess Weir was quite dramatic. We enjoyed our usual coffee break in Exeter Quay which was appreciated by all, especially those of us who indulged in a cake as well.  On route we observed the ongoing work on flood defences, and towards the end of the walk took advantage of the impressive new cantilever pedestrian walkway attached to the bridge over the river on the main road.
Thanks to the surprisingly good weather for the time of the year, we all really enjoyed our first walk of 2018.
