15th November Kingswear

This walk was led by Norma who writes:-
Today, 13 of us met at the CP near Noss Marina. The weather was again dry, with above average temperature for November.  We crossed through the woods to Bridge Rd. Then, along to the path down to WC (note: closed for winter) The Britannia Halt level crossing at the Higher Ferry closed to let an interesting old diesel train pass by.
Following the path between railway and River Dart we walked through Dart Haven Marina to Kingswear station.  As the tide was low, we were able to spend some fun time  pebble skimming at the slip beyond the RDYC.!
We then followed the path along the edge of Waterhead Creek and up the road to the start of Hoodown woods. This higher route back was even more attractive today with all the Autumn colours..firstly, looking down over Kingswear and then  stunnung views over the river to Dartmouth and Mill Creek beyond. As always, lots of activity on the river down below.
This is my favourite walk and brings back so many happy memories..
