14th June – Lupton

Norma writes:-
Yesterday, 13 of us met at Lupton House.  It was a glorious summer day.
We set off up the valley, crossed over Kennels Road and wound our way down to Greenway. The views and countryside were absolutely stunning – one of my favourite walks!
We returned skirting Galmpton and just caught a glimpse of the steam train heading back to Churston. A long hill took us up to the top and then it was downhill across the fields back to Lupton.
Due to the fine weather, the Cafe was doing a roaring trade (which all goes towards Lupton House restoration). When the food arrived, it was well worth the wait and excellent value.
It’s a shame that this group will no longer run but we will try to keep in touch and organise some walks….
