The walk, led by Graham, started at the Tavistock Inn. We followed Dr. Blackall’s Drive up onto the Moor and despite the mist and drizzle, we could see the R. Dart meandering it’s way through the wooded valley, far down below.
We looked at the stone circle remains of a hut, went into the grounds of Leusdon church, and walked through the pastures and lanes of Spitchwick Manor. By this time, the drizzle had turned to rain and the pub lunch was beckoning.
A very interesting, enjoyable walk, and for me, new territory. I hope it can be repeated on a warm sunny day!
