14th September -Exminster

The day after Britain had its hottest September day since 1911, it was pleasantly warm in Devon as Jane and Christine led 17 walkers on a six mile walk from The Swans Nest.
After crossing the railway bridge we headed across the marshes to the towpath of the Exeter Canal which we then followed via Turf Lock to Powderham Church before returning via the Nature Reserve to the Swans Nest for lunch.
