With an Arctic wind sweeping the country, the temperature only 5 DegC, it was a relief to wake up to blue skies with no rain/snow forecast for the day.
19 walkers met in Noss Mayo to be led Bob and Jane alongside the River Yealm estuary and on to Lord Revelstoke’s Drive.
We had fine views toward Rame Head in Cornwall and the air was clear enough to make out the Eddystone Lighthouse 14 miles away on the horizon.
The weather turned out to be remarkably good though the most remembered feature of this 4 1/2 mile walk will probably be of the mud encountered along the way.
Lunch was taken at the Ship Inn in Noss Mayo.
