April 4th 2012 Fingle Bridge

 Led by Graham

A chilly but bright morning as 15 walkers set off from Fingle Bridge alongside the River Teign via the Fisherman’s Path.

On reaching the end of the path below Castle Drogo we went uphill to return via the Hunter’s Path to the Fingle Bridge Inn for lunch.
Despite a gloomy forecast there was no sign of rain on the walk. However as soon as we returned to Torbay we found found ourselves in the middle of a fierce hailstorm and some of the white stuff had settled on the roof of our house.
We last did this walk almost exactly 4 years ago and on that occasion I took many photographs. I was very impressed with the scenery and constructed a short video from the photos. You can watch the 2008 video by clicking here.
Since I figured that the scenery today was much the same as last time I only took a few photos this time plus a few movie sequences.

Recently Dennis introduced me to another Adiemus tune which has been buzzing around in my brain ever since. I have used the few photos and movies I took on my camera to construct a short video which you can see below.
Fortunately I had my photographic team (Maureen and Jaki) on hand to fill in the blanks. Jaki is particularly good at close-ups of the flora & fauna and took some exceptional shots on this walk.
