Led by Jane & Bob
Twelve very hardy walkers turned up at The Kestor Inn on an overcast, cold and damp day with rain forecast for the afternoon.
This five mile circular walk took in Hayne Down, with a distant glimpse of Bowerman’s Nose, Houndtor and the deserted medieval village of Hundaford, through the Becka Valley and back to the Kestor Inn for an oustanding lunch.
Along the way it was cold, wet, windy, with plenty of steep ascents and a good helping of mud, and yet it was totally exhilarating, making it a joy to be alive and in such good company
