September 27th Chagford

– Led by Maureen & Dave

Fourteen walkers forsook the cloud covered coast of Torbay for the delightful sunshine of the northern slopes of Dartmoor.

Arriving at the popular village of Chagford, we then set off up on to the high ground of Nattadon Common with views toward the whole of the northern side of Dartmoor with Castle Drogo a persisting landmark to the Northeast.

On our way down and through the lush pastures bordering the infant River Teign we went through two fields of Meadow Ladies (and Lads) before arriving back at Chagford for an excellent meal at The Ring Of Bells
